Announcements for Wednesday March 26!
The announcements, which of course occurred during homeroom and not....five hours later what are you talking about please put that down, are as follows:
"Good morning, St. Jude. Today is Wednesday, March 26, and remember, God can see everything you're doing. He knows if you're not paying attention to the announcements, so listen up.
Due to some oversight for which the guilty parties involved have been cast down into the pit--" a sudden muffled scuffle here induces a huge shriek of feedback, enjoy that, students, "Ahem. Due to a printing error, today's Extracurricular Workshop does not appear on the official calender, but is still proceeding on schedule. Those of you participating please report to the foyer at the appointed time. Those of you not involved in extracurriculars are once advised that this is not an opportunity for funny business.
In closing, the school chatroom has been reporting activity well into the small hours of the morning, when young minds should be resting. Certain of you are then sure to find today's Word, which is from the Book of Acts, verse 9, especially appropriate: 'As Paul spoke on and on, a young man named Eutychus, sitting on the windowsill, became very drowsy. Finally, he fell sound asleep and dropped three stories to his death below.'
Remember what happens if you fall asleep in class. Thank you, and have a good day."
This is in fact not on the calendar, because it was just invented last night - BUT! Here is what's goin' down:
ALL DAY LONG, in rotating shifts that don't really matter because time has no meaning on the internet, there will be a bunch of tables set up in the school foyer. At these tables will be members of various school-affiliated extracurriculars, attempting to recruit new members or just inform the student body what they are all about. Per example: THE LIT MAG DESPERATELY NEEDS SUBMISSIONS. HELP. So perhaps there might be an open post of Ben (
ugliest_shirts ) at the Literature Magazine table, hangin' out, takin' questions, encouraging submissions at knifepoint until he's expelled, etc.
Participation is entirely voluntary, of course, we just like having all-school events. :3 And this is an opportunity for characters who are in activities together to thread with each other!
