they don't call them DUO for nothing.
so some of you might recall that a few weeks back i ordered some lovely boots from the DUO website. well they arrived on Monday morning (with killer brokerage and duty fees. DAMNIT) and soon i will take some pictures and post a review.
yesterday i came home to a parcel notification in my mailbox and today excitedly hopped on my bike (first bike ride of the summer!) and rode to the postal outlet, thinking it was the amazing dress i ordered from Casual Plus.
so i get to the post office all pumped for my dress thinking i can wear it out to kim's birthday tonight to find it's not so much a small envelope with a dress but a giant box, in the familiar distinctive purple wrapping that i'd become so well acquainted with this past monday. it was another pair of boots.
thinking maybe d or someone else decided to surprise me with a bonus pair as a grad gift, i signed for them and set about getting them and my bike back to the apartment (not an easy task because the box is ENORMOUS).
i get home and tear open the wrap to find that they are a pair of Lyons. exactly the same pair of brown size 41 48cm calf width Lyons i ordered and received on monday. oddly there was no handling fee on the boots themselves or charges to my credit card (does this mean the huge 50$ fee i paid on one pair covered all the pairs of boots???)
i've emailed them about it (fearful a charge might yet show up on my poor worn out credit card) and we'll see what they say. if they won't pay to have me ship them back, i guess i will have to track down my fatshionista calf/foot twin.
