I Wake to Find the Devil Sitting Near My Bed. We Have a Conversation and He Says...

I really hate Valentine's Day. Honestly. And yes I know I'm in a happy relationship full of all that love crap but seriously. It's just a huge commercial holiday probably created by Hallmark designed specifically to increase card sales during a time when card sales would normally be pretty flat.

I hate it for two reasons in particular.

Love is an action huh? Maybe that is what I have been doing wrong all this time.lol

You sure put a lot of feeling in this action you have written for it not to be a feeling. I disagree and perhaps I am wrong but love is much more than either of those things.
Love is neither a feeling nor an action; I don't think it is that simple. If it were would we as humans would be able to find it more easily, and hold on to it till we had to let go. (This maybe a little movie fantasy)

I hope that it is more than that, or why do we search for it every day of our lives till we have found what we were looking for. We want love more than anything in the world. More than success, money, cars (guy thing), a satisfying job, more than anything. When we find love it is more full feeling than anything imaginable. Sometimes for that we give up the other things that we think we want for it. I am not saying give up those things but if we had to we would. It is a want, or maybe it is more like a desire. It is a desire for that person and his/her being. You want to do anything you can to make them happy. If they love you back they would do the same.

I think there is a song that I heard once, it said “Love is a many splendored thing, Love lifts us up where we belong, All you need is Love.” That is what it is, it is a need. There is not a person in this world that doesn’t have a love of some sort that is full filled. Until they find that they will never feel satisfied.

You can be alive without love in your life, but you can’t live without it in your life.

One other thing:
If any guy told you that he would do this and you believe he ment it, then maybe he did persue the path that he thought was right. after all you said, "You've got to constantly work at love to keep that "feeling"." open up your mind to the thought that you will never know what would have really happened with him.

because if you that smart what is the secret to life? lol

oooo, smart ass you are Mr. suddenlink. (in Yoda voice)

I'm going to skip all the other BS because it doesn't matter if you agree or not you're still going to argue with me and I frankly have better things to do than argue with people over the internet. Talking in circles doesn't fullfill my day. But I will leave you with this:

because if you that smart what is the secret to life? lol

The answer is 42...

It's the answer to the question of "Life, the Universe, and Everything"...from the greatest 5 book triology: "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy".

You probably would not like it. British humor, space, aliens, outlandish adventures, a little sci-fi even.

And watching the movie will only make you hate it. Most people I know who watched the movie without reading the books had no idea what was going on and did not get the little things that were actually hilrious if you had read the books.

So...there is your 25 cent advice for the day.
