Reflections
It’s been a busy few days, so I’m catching up on things. It turns out that the 5th August was 22 years since Jeff Porcaro left this world. He was only 38.
I still admire Jeff’s drumming immensely, his Rosanna shuffle alone stands out though what I hadn’t realised was the amount of session work that Jeff had done along with his playing with Toto. My favourite though comes from a live version of Africa recorded in Le Zenith, Paris in ’90 . I would have loved to see him play live.
