Congress voted not to raise the minimum wage above 5.15/hour for the ninth consecutive year. Also, we were one vote shy of making it illegal to burn the American flag. Free speech should not include desecration of national symbols. Might as well fry up a bald eagle on Thanksgiving and call it a toast to freedom.
I subcontracted a construction clean up job today. I should finish by tomorrow afternoon and roll in about $360 for two days of work. Not too bad I suppose. I discovered a Mexican gentleman sleeping in a closet when I returned from my lunch break. That alone is worth me inhaling sheetrock dust all day, plus the cash of course.
Friday, I shall go in for a Brazilian bikini wax to celebrate the World Cup and attempt to find gainful employment in Greenville. The skinhead boyfriend and I might make a pilgrimage to Chapel Hill for a streetpunk festival.
