What I Did During Class Today...

Okay, I was a good girl and paid attention during the first half of class, but at break I took the time to download my preordered album "Pretty Odd" by Panic at the Disco; which I've only listened to a little bit and hoping I won't hate it--i knew it was going to be very different than their first, and it definitely does have that Beetles sound ( Read more... )

What's even more amazing is how well it's lived up to that hype! XD I've yet to see an episode of this show I didn't like! (Although I have missed a good few, but not by choice! I'll probably end up getting them from iTunes if I can't catch them on TV) There's nothing I can find fault with in this show. I mean, in Drake&Josh there were episodes i sort of cringe at, and I wasn't too fond of their parents whenever they were involved, but iCarly I don't have that problem at all. The dialogue is smart, the acting is fantastic, the humor is both mature and child-friendly, and even the slightly exaggerated comedy moments are still believable!

But yeah, Miranda probaby was cast before the show was written, and that DEFINITELY would've helped it. XD Yes, well, he IS the one fighting against Disney Channel! I read in an almanac a few years ago--Drake&Josh was the main competitor against Hannah Montana. I suppose Nick is depending on him to keep viewers, and he IS the one to depend on! Because you can only watch episodes of Suite Life and Hannah Montana and Cory in the House so many times...but strangely, most episodes of iCarly and Drake&Josh are timeless. XD

And yes! iSpy a Mean Teacher! That was on the other day and I was watching it! XD I knew it was an episode I'd seen recently.

You're right... I can't find an episode I dislike. :D But what I like most? That every single episode I have seen so far has a Carly/Freddie moment. Even if it's just on Freddie's part. :D Because I think Carly loves Freddie just as much. Just... y'know - she doesn't realize it yet. :D

Plus, the more episodes I see, the more I believe Miranda Cosgrove is really good actress. :D

I think Nickelodian is doing a pretty good job competing with Disney - they're actually putting out new episodes! So I'm kind of anti- Disney right now. They deprive me of what I want. New HM episodes! And only parts of them are timeless, I need to fast-forward through parts. :D

I love iCarly. :D

SO sounds like Freddie....which is again adorable! XD

But yes, Miranda is probably one of the most talented actors on Nick (a lofty statement but i'm confident about it...:P). ;) Go Miranda!

XDXDXDXD True...Disney has been a bit lack about the new episode thing lately...I think they're still recovering from the writer's strike thing. Although i saw a commericial on DC today about like SEVEN new premieres coming up for Disney...so they might be getting back on track.

But yes. iCarly rules. XD

I wouldn't be too sure about that... They always make a big deal about everything they're doing. Including big re-run specials that are only highlighting one new episode. Which was (will be?) the Wizards total rip-off of HP. But, hopefully you're right - and I just haven't cared enough about what was playing on DC to see the new commercials.

Miranda is pretty good though, she has the most experience, obviously. So of course she's come into her own. But I think whats-his-face who plays Spencer is pretty gosh darn good too. But he's older, and technically should have more experience. It's just kind of sad her character doesn't make it seem like she's that good. But she is, when you compare the two parts we've seen her in. :D

Yeeeeaaaah.... maybe I do sound like Freddie. (he is my fave character) But it's so TRUE. She totally flirts with him ALL of the TIME, and then tells him - oh, we're just friends, and "Now is not the time to bust a move!" (which was hilarious, actually) Plus, she treats him like her boyfriend half of the time, just with none of the perks. But they are just too adorable all of the time. There's no escaping it. :D

iCarly rules hardcore.
