whereas with my Grant Writing position, i often felt like i was getting nowhere and serving very little purpose as an employee, now i can say that i FLIPPIN' LOVE MY NEW JOB.
i've crammed in a whole lot of learning from my little office here at home, and at times i know it would be easier to absorb the info if i worked at the office with the rest of the gang, but it's a small price to pay, quite frankly. i was able to chill with the gang on monday, and i was reminded of the awesomeness that is our little family. i love being a part of this company. everyone is just awesome, and they've been so helpful since i first started. never any attitude, lots of patience... i am thrilled.
okay, enough gushing about that. i love my job. point taken. moving on.
the hair! ooooooooohhh. aaaahhh. i chopped bangs last week, and while i hate waking up with them being a bloody disaster, when i style my locks, i flippin' love 'em. The Cheese hated it when he first walked in and saw it, but he likes it all done up and it's grown on him. :) pictures coming, eventually.
Miss O had bloodwork done on tuesday evening, and i have yet to hear back from the vet, although they said they'd call yesterday. grr. they did tell me that she'd gained back all but one ounce of the weight she'd lost, so i suspect that's a sign the thyroid medication is doing its job. huge relief. my old girl can't be shrivelling up - she's got a lot of happy years left in her! yay, healthy kitty!
the kid... remember how he had an A in math? well holy aitch, he brought his progress report home a few days after our little trek to Six Flags, and he had satisfactory in all of his classes. that means an A, B or C - nothing lower. and every teacher's comment was a positive one. we're celebrating this victory with clothing. yes, he's officially a teenager obsessed with his image. he'd done so well up until this past summer, and now it starts to get a little more expensive, and a little more annoying waiting for the bathroom. i can live with that if he's bringing home good grades. SWEETASS.
show tomorrow night! we're going to play some new stuff, and i'm feeling great about things and life in general, so we're going to rock the house down. i hope our drummer remembers the stuff he's been doing at rehearsals, because he sounds great!
now. i'm in the mood to make some cards tonight, while i have a few hours alone. off i go! enjoy the weekend, chickens. xo
