1 month

In exactly one month I will be spending my first night in Jerusalem-- my new home for the next 5 months. It's something I can't quite hold a firm grasp on. This month will come and go as fast as it wishes, without much of any say from me. I'm just going to be home in Orange County until then. I already feel like I am embarking on a new time in my life, since I had to say lots of goodbyes at Sonoma. That was (and still is) really hard for me. I get attached to genuine connections I make with people. Lots of them will graduate in May and not live in the area when I return next Fall. It is just something I need to soak in and accept. I need to remember that all of those connections I made will not vanish with my absence. Once a moment is lived, it cannot be reduced. I get caught up in not being able to have those connections grow deeper, but what I already have is beautiful enough! And I must remember that I am going to be meeting some incredible people abroad!! That is definitely something to look forward to. I know I'm going to be taught, even more than what I have learned in the past few years, to have faith in people.

I guess that's all for now.
I just need to take this month to make sure my affairs are in order (paperwork, clothing, etc) and be with my family and the friends that I have down here.

Happy Holidays!

Molly
