make way for the Queen
so I think I got rapped on the knuckles by my junior for this boring blog layout. point taken, darling - it's just that my html is rather terrible.
that and the fact that i'm much too wishywashy and wouldn't be able to decide what to put as a main layout pic. (and putting oasis and franz ferdinand and suede and jonathan rhys meyers together on one layout would be rather a bit much, hmm?)
anyway...so we got to see the Queen of England today! so working at the national library has its opportunities, haha. she kind of walked towards tiara and tania and i and we smiled at her while i mumbled 'your majesty' in this embarassingly awe-struck manner, and she very nicely gave all three of us her Queenly smile. :D she's very small, very delicate-looking, with an awfully cute little mint green hat with matching mint green feathers - so quaint! they got like a couple of schoolkids from different schools (including nanyang) to stand outside to wait for her arrival and then departure and cheer and wave the Singapore flag and the Union Jack at her. it was so surreal, really. (i was actually tempted to poke her to see if she's really flesh and blood, but thankfully i managed to curb that impulse.)
we managed to take a picture of her using the iSouvenir booth - unfortch we were much too afraid to stand behind her while doing so, haha. Anyway it should be coming around in the email - a slightly bemused-looking Queen E not quite looking at the camera.
so oh i've seen the Queen! can die slightly happier now. (this is so awfully silly, but haha)
and anyway i'm still sort of done with maths, 3/8 done with econs, and only just beginning with history...and I HAVEN'T STARTED LIT AT ALL. it rather looks like i'm about to die say around this time next week anyway. :(
