Someone's got some 'splaining to do...

I'm still here...and am puzzled...while I do have cable...I never watch it. I'm pretty much media-free and pay no attention to what goes on in the world-it gets repetitive after awhile, and I figure that one day I will be very surprised by things that have transpired while I was "away" :)
Due to the "terrible molar incident" (molar cracked last week, made appt. to get it fixed, experienced increasing pain throughout the week-not in the tooth, but in my neck, jaw and shoulder-got emergency appt. for root canal-that was a botched job that was even more painful-finally just begged the dentist to yank the damned thing out, leaving me w/ slowly subsiding pain and percodan), I stayed home and watched a bit of tv, mostly documentaries about serial killerz.
Now, I've overheard people talking about a wall being built along the border, and really thought it was one of those jokes. I know there is something up w/ immigration laws and that's about it. I have seen that the government obtained phone records for everyone in the country, which didn't surprise me-I always figured they were sent a copy every month.
So, throughout the day I'm starting to realize that this wall thing is for real??? Or are the networks in on the joke too? Are they going to hire illegals to build it? Are they going to use recycled materials? Are they going to build it along the Canadian border as well?
The phone thing, well, as I said, I always figured that's what they do. But, according to the Constitution, they're not supposed to. And now the word is out. I was watching an interview w/ Newt, thinking to myself, well, he makes it sound like they were doing the right thing, and he is actually saying his beef is with the fact that they weren't up front about it and did not communicate their motives in a positive way, like he was doing ;) He then went on to give an example of how if this hadn't been done, they'd have to tell the people that they could've gotten the info IF they had only gotten the phone records of everyone in the country, and that wouldn't have been right. I see. THEN he tells us that they had five suspects, and the ONLY way they could determine who these five suspects were in communicaton with was to obtain the phone records of everyone in the country!
WHAT???????????
Did I miss something???
I believe the phone records of the five suspects would have provided a lot of info, and if they knew enough of about these individuals to call them suspects, they probably had the names of their associates, and there are ways to check past incoming activity on phone lines...
exactly who is running this show again?
The last news I had seen was when Dick had the terrible hunting accident...and he gave a statement saying he takes full responsibility for the incident, but he had nothing to do w/ the heart attack (right...I'm sure the pellet they had to remove from the guy's heart, or even the stress of the injuries had nothing at all to do w/ it.) Later, the injured party appeared, apologizing to the VP and his family for this horrible ordeal. That said it all right there. The man is shot and then publicly apologizes to his shooter. Right there. That is when I said "enough". And I joined Netflix!
Oh, oh, oh! And they legalized drugz for personal consumption in Mexico??? That explains the wall...I don't know why they aren't talking that one up more...That is definitely something to talk about.
I leave you now w/ a quote from the oh-so-funny bumpersticker I saw the other day:
Pic of George on it and it said "Would someone please give this man a blow job!"
I bet that guy's phone records are being audited...
