Thanks, I'm glad to hear that. As I just finished watching Firefly for the first time (so I obviously don't know the characters as well as those on BtVS and Ats), I was a little unsure of my characterization, so I'm really glad you liked it.

well, it's not something that you would see if you were watching the TV series (the nice thing about the written word is you can jump into their heads), so some fans might object...

But I do think it could be Badger's inner thoughts. Thing is, he's a double crossing cheat and has "humped" the crew on more than one job (you'd have to read the comics to understand that whole arch), but since the series is SO short lived.. no one's really sure what/who he is.

I don't know much about Firefly and nothing about Badger, but this painted a nice picture of him for me. I get the kind of guy he is so good job!

Thanks! I've only just watched Firefly, so I don't have any amazing insight into the character either, but that's the great thing about minor characters - you can pretty much go anywhere you want with them because there is so little known about them.

Well, you know I am wholly unfamiliar with Firefly outside of watching Serenity a few times but I loved the language. I like the way you repeated the phrase "deep down". I am sucker for that kind of thing. You always amaze me. :)

Thanks! I didn't even plan to do the repetition. It just ended up working out that way, which was really nice.
