Was he invisible? He often wondered that. People seemed to flit about him, never really noticing him. Like the way no-one remembered his name. Maybe that’s why he talked so much-not that it was a conscious thing, he’d just suddenly find himself rambling and unable to stop.
He’d only ever wanted to belong. But that never worked; he’d never really fit anywhere. Not at school, or with Warren, certainly not here where everyone was a hero-or really cool. Like Spike. Spike was everything he wanted to be; only he knew he never would. He’d always just be… invisible.
