It was nice, actually...

Finally. I went to my old hometown and visited mother's gravesite on January 3. I'm so v. glad I did. In an attempt to prevent myself from laying in the dirt and crying, I took with me my friends Maree and Maria. We made a day trip of it. First we had lunch, then we drove around town and I pointed out various places of interest: the house I grew up in, the schools. Then we met my sister Ginger for lunch. Afterward we drove to the cemetery. It created a hollow place in my chest to be there, but at the same time it was healing. It was such a beautifully warm day so we took our time and walked around the area reading head stones and discussing those people that I had known. *sigh* Time moves on, no? We've decided we're going to take one Saturday a month and go on a day-trip adventure. Maria wants to go to Glen Rose and see the dinosaur track place.

I'm ashamed to say my family is playing hooky from Sunday school yet again. I do plan on going to 'big' church at 11:00.

Any of you guys ever heard of Gaston Willig?

I met him the other day and he's sweet. And very pretty. In an OMG SO BEAUTIFUL way.
