Will he find the one he’s looking for? Or would certain distractions keep him from seeing what is clearly in front of him?

A/N: Prologue's first, of course. Though I think it was a fail since my mind jumped to what happens in the chaps first rather than thinking up of a good prologue. Anyways, here it is. :D Hope you guys would like it. I'm not that busy so I think I'll be posting the next chap soon. :)

Prologue

Junsu took a small sip from his tall cup of caffe vanilla frappuccino. His brown, almond-shaped eyes roamed around the café, searching for a particular someone.

“How about him, hyung?” he asked, pointing to a guy to their right with broad shoulders and a black leather jacket on. “What do you think of him?”

Jaejoong followed his friend’s gaze. He shook his head lightly and said, “He’s okay. But I’m pretty sure he’s straight.”

As he said that a girl with long, wavy hair approached the guy and gave him a peck on the lips.

“See.” Jaejoong declared triumphantly.

Junsu groaned. “Fine… How about him then?” the younger man said next as he pointed to a guy in a blue suit standing in line in front of the counter.

“Too businessy.” The older man said simply, twirling the straw of his latte as he did so.

Junsu let out a silent sigh. He looked around the café again.

“How about that guy, the one sitting in the corner with the tattered jeans?”

Jaejoong looked at the guy Junsu was pointing at. He let out a sigh, half out of frustration and half out of amusement. “Hmm, I don’t think so.”

Junsu looked annoyed now. He let out what sounded like a growl and glared at Jaejoong.

“Aigoo, hyung! Do you really have to find fault at every guy you see?”

“No, only the ones you see.” the older guy retorted.

Junsu scowled. “Very funny.” He squeaked sarcastically.

“Yah!” Their baritone-voiced friend beside them chimed in, as if to remind the two that he was still there. Yoochun glanced at them from the top of his book and said, “You two. Are you really that desperate? Resorting to this?” he asked rather amusedly.

“Yah! Don’t look at me! It’s Junsu-ah!” Jaejoong quickly said, sounding defensive. Yoochun chuckled.

“Fine. Fine. It’s me.” Junsu added, looking irately at Jaejoong. “But so what? It’s Jaejoong-hyung’s fault anyway. Aigoo… Hyung really needs to go out more.”

The oldest of the three shook his head. “Yah, Junsu-ah, why are you fussing about finding me someone? You don’t need to. And I mean, really! You don’t even have a decent someone yourself!”

Yoochun chuckled at his hyung’s comment. Junsu glared at both of them.

“Yah, yah, yah! Don’t even go there!” the youngest man said, raising his hand in front of Jaejoong, signaling him to stop talking. Junsu had had enough with the fact that he was still single at a time when he was nearly in his mid-twenties. He didn’t even want to think about it, much more to have others point it out to him.

Yoochun and Jaejoong both chuckled.

“See,” the oldest said. “That’s just my point. Look, if you want to find someone for me, find someone for yourself first, araso?” he said it jokingly.

Junsu narrowed his eyes. He huffed air out of his mouth and looked at Jaejoong challengingly. “Yah, are you serious in that, hyung?” Junsu asked in a stern tone.

Jaejoong stopped smiling and looked at his younger friend curiously. “Bwo?”

“I asked if you were serious because I’ll take what you said seriously…” Junsu said plainly. Jaejoong looked at him as if he can’t believe his ears. Yoochun just watched Junsu, curious to see and to hear what the youngest of them had to say.

“I will look for a man…” Junsu continued. “I can easily find the perfect one, you’ll see. I’ll do that within a span of about five months. After that, I’m free to hook you up with any man.” he said with a straight face.

Jaejoong was able to give an amused smile. “Oh? You really want to do that? Fine. Let’s make it a deal then. If you can find yourself 'the one', then you can freely choose any guy you want and I’ll date them. Are you sure you’re up to it?”

Junsu beamed. “You seem to have no confidence in me, hyung… But I can assure you, that would be easy for me.”

The older guy grinned. “You seem so confident about it… Hmm, let’s have a catch then. Make it in one month.”

One frigging month? Junsu asked himself. He started to worry deep inside, regretting ever getting himself into this crap. But Kim Junsu did not want to show what he was thinking. He kept a perfect poker face on. Junsu smiled, trying to make it look like it was confident.

“A piece of cake.” He squeaked said.

Jaejoong smiled at him. “Well, then, it’s settled. One month. The perfect guy. Then I’ll date whoever you choose.” He said, having the confidence inside of him that Junsu would fail this challenge. “Let’s start it tomorrow then?”

Junsu mentally slapped himself but said yes anyway. Yoochun, who was watching and listening intently at the two’s conversation as if it were an interesting boxing match, merely chuckled. “Aigoo… Good luck on that.” He said half-heartedly before drowning himself back into his book.

Jaejoong held out his hand. Junsu took his hyung’s hand and shook it, making their deal final and, not to mention, serious. There was no turning back.

Junsu gulped nervously but inconspicuously. “Oh gawd! What the hell did I just get myself into?”
