sick little kitty
Had to take Wench off the the Lort Smith last night.
After my regular vet had closed for the day I noticed she couldn't move her tail up and down and was dragging it behind her. She didn't seem in a great amount of pain, but was shedding fur like a cheap rug, (as a general rule, burmese don't shed much at all), and I wasn't sure how serious it was. After a little prodding about, one side of her butt did look a little swollen and she didn't like this being poked.
Decided to play it safe, as my vet wouldn't be open until monday. So after a quick phone call to the Lort Smith, bundled her into the cat box and headed off with my brother and his g/f.
Afte a quick prod the vet announced she had been bitten on the butt and had a gaint abcess. The swelling was quite pronounced and hard to miss at this point.
So she stayed overnight and I have to pick her up later.....
