We're going to the zoo zoo zoo, how 'bout you you you?
Well we leave Monday for the "deh-twah" zoo (yeah that's my shitty french) should be fun AND I'll be staying in a hotel so I'll have fast internet!!! Hoo-hah! Should be a nice little vay-cay, got a week off of work! Lol I love my job, but last Sunday I worked over three hours, making it a 15 hour work day for me, after working my normal 12. Then worked Wednesday and Thursday which were both busy too but no where near as bad as Sunday. It was just busy all day (with Desi, then new doc came on and everything came to a stand still) With our normal docs we can pretty much make out the orders ourselves, but the new docs want to see the pt first and access then choose their own labs and get pissy if we order them first. Of course everyone who walked in was having chest pains and were serious cases, then there were lots of idiots who had no real reason for being there, people having stokes, sick diabetics lots of serious stuff. And a drunk girl who groped the new docs ass throughout the entire exam (hehe).
We had a code blue Thursday and I guess mom had one when she worked today, not a great start to the summer. We had another fatality over the weekend, a 62 year old women who "had a history of dropping dead" according to our nurse, and actually it was family history but it sounded funny the way she said it.
I found something interesting today, there was an article about Caley Anthony and in the article (on aol) there was other missing cases, one of them was a 5 year old girl from Monroe Mi, her name was Nevaeh. Her name was Heaven spelled backwards which is why I recognized the name. I don't know if this is the same girl or not, but we had a girl into the er last summer or the year before, I don't remember which now with the same first name, about three or four years old and we ended up calling aeromed on her, it was pretty obvious there was major abuse which had taken place during her life, and when she was in there was indication of brain trauma. This Nevaeh from Monroe Mi went missing May 24th and was found June 4th in the Rasin (sp?) River. Two registered sex offenders who were friends of her mother were questioned but not arrested. No idea if this is the same girl or not, but I found it rather interesting.
Different note, I got some of my movies I've been bidding on, still no luck on Disney's Beauty and the Beast for Lisa or Nightmare Before Christmas for me :( stupid people keep outbidding me because I am cheap.
