Go to Ocean county on vacation, go home on probation!
Well I have survived Memorial Day weekend! Actually wasn't too bad, Sunday was hell but we weren't too busy Saturday or Monday, worked with "new" doctors (my first time with them) so naturally things were slower and took longer. We had a guy in who got his hand in the way of a wood splitter, a guy who was messing with his gun and blanks for Memorial day and blew the tips off off seven of his fingers and was rushed to surgery, and of course a couple of duners. Throughout all of the real emergencies, were idiots. Lot of sick kids, ears and throats, which apparently needed to be treated immediately and as always the kid who had been sick for the last two weeks but has to come in to the we at two in the morning to be treated. Idiots. Besides that nothing too exciting, Tom Cruise did visit however his name was spelled different and he was mexican, gave us all a laugh!
Tuesday I went with my mom to court. She and the doc had to testify on a rape case they took care of last year and it's kind of stupid. The guy maintains that he did not touch her, however dna was recovered from the victim that matched his from a buccal swap taken. Here's the screwed up part, he was dating the victim's sister at the time and had hit on her and the mother previously, and was living there! Basically he was a horn dog that hit on anything femal that moved and NOW he is married! I think I sat by his wife (trash) how awkward would that be? To go to court to support your newly wed as they are being tried for a rape they obviously committed? Why would anyone want marry something like that? Psh Whatever.
I am not scheduled to work again for a while, but I am sure I'll be called in. Planning a roadtrip with Lisa to the Grandville Mall sometime next week, gotta wait and see what the weekend brings in terms of customers to the er. And I cook for the rent's anniversary Sunday.
I enjoyed returning to work, Monday in particular was fun. I worked with my mom and we just kinda goofed off with lab and x-ray and had a few laughs and it was just good to be back in that environment. I am soo glad I was able to keep this job! Except when Desi was telling me to make four phone calls at once! lol Seriously! Luckily one of the nurses came back and helped me juggle phones.
I am now watching Moulin Rouge, then maybe Sweeney Todd or one of my other musicals which I love but no one else seems to appreciate. I have the house to myself, for a few hours. Parents are watching the boys soccer games and are out in the cold (haha) Really wish this rainy grey weather would stop, the last few nice days I was stuck inside with air conditioning. I have spray painting to do and obviously cannot do that in the house! And I need to start taking the dogs for walks, they get too wild being cooped up all day, they don't like rain either.
