a. I totally don't have the package in front of me so I don't know. I was thinking about the Boca burger pacakge I was looking at last night so just meshed them together. Either way, they're good and way better than regular crappy grease-infested sausage! And they taste better ( ... )

I've always had extra food on hand, but I wanted to get more. It's hard because I live in an apartment and move every 6-12 months, so I need to be able to "carry" it with me. I've got enough for 2-3 weeks I'd say. I also always have food at work (about a week worth) in case of this big earthquake that people are expecting. I wish they wouldn't freak out over it and just live life, but I'm still preparing as much as I can, nevertheless. I've always been big on kits and emergency preparedness, even if it's just economic preparedness. I hate not having a bigger savings, but considering loans gain interest, I felt it better to pay them off.

preparedness is a lifestyle, rather than a goal. Between church, boy scouts, family, I've had plenty of experience being "prepared" or understanding the need for it. I almost always have more of *everything* than I need. That usually ensures I don't need it - which is better than the alternative.

You might look into Dave Ramsey's books/programs. Basically you sacrifice like crazy to get a certain balance in savings, then pay against debt. It works. Just requires some short term inconvenience for long term pay off. :)

That's exactly what I do....everytime I hit a certain mark I pay off a lump sum. It feels so much better. I also have automatic payments set up on my student loans, and an addition to that I make an extra manual payment every month. I don't mind the inconvenience...I love to check things off of my to do lists. :) I want to start classes now, but I am planning to pay up front for my tuition, so I'm saving up some extra bucks so I don't have to scrimp every dollar for tuition each semester. It'll be great to start school full time and know I have no student loans waiting for me. ;) But I will definitely check those books out!

I love Apples to Apples!!! But, I rarely win, because most of the people I play with don't have the same sense of humour that I do. Another of my favourite games is Phase 10. That is so much fun! Every time I go to Mall-Wart, I always look at the boardgame section, and wish I had more money to buy all of those super fun looking games!

Personally, I wasn't all that upset that Carly got booted off AI. I wasn't all that impressed with her. As much as I love Brooke, I wasn't too upset that she got booted, either. I'm glad she made it this far. Also, as much as I love me some Archie, I really wonder how much further he's going to make it. Speaking of Archie, did you HEAR that awesome version of "Think of Me"?!?! I downloaded the studio version of that right away. Totally awesome! I also have some other songs of his that I downloaded, along with some of Cooke's ( ... )

I didn't realize how many people "hated" Carly. I googled her and a lot of it was hate stuff, I think because she had a record deal before that flopped. Even though I'm generally a good girl, I think I love "the dark side". :) Besides all my other quirks, I also looooove rockers. I LOVE Heart's "Alone", and even though Carly sang it all the time, it won me over. I love love love that song, and she does it well. I was completely in love with her voice and could tell she was really passionate when she sang, even if she wasn't the best (same with Brooke, thought I didn't ever see her as the Idol anyway...but she had passion!). As for Archuleta...he's really really good, but he bothers me in the way that every single time he is on stage it looks like the first time he's ever been there. I realize he's only 17, but if you want to be the Idol, you gotta let loose! He looks so stiff and awkward all the time. He's got the theory part down and can hit all the notes, but I don't consider him an Idol in the TV show sense. Cook...he's ( ... )

I didn't really hate Carly. I just didn't particularly like her. Honestly, I didn't think she did that good of a job on the Heart song. I LOVE Heart, and that song. I just didn't like Carly's version of it. It was a little too low for her. She was pitchy. And it totally paled in comparison to Ann Wilson's version ( ... )
