I'm sorry, is my Humbug showing?
Holidays. Bah! I do struggle with finding the joy, so in an effort to remind myself how much I TRULY have to be thankful for, I'm writing my Thankful letter.
Dear, Me -
You live a blessed life. Be thankful, for God's sake!
So this is my where I'm counting my blessings this year:
~ Today it is not raining!
~ The oak tree is DOWN and there is no more worrying every time the wind puffs. I will be even more thankful when every last piece of it is either in the woodshed or given away, and the whole mess cleaned up.
~ I have married a supremely hardworking, loyal, honest man. I love him so much.
~ My kids. Although, lately they have been testing those maternal bonds. :)
~ We have a home and vehicles that run.
~ Our thermostat is fixed and we have heat in our home.
~ We had enough firewood to heat the house for two weeks while we thought the furnace was broken and my husband was too busy to figure out what was wrong.
~ We can afford food, and will have enough to feed a small army tomorrow!
~ My husband and I still have all of our parents and siblings.
~ My mom's Apple pie, which she is bringing to dinner tomorrow. Last year I passed on the traditional dinner plate of food smothered in gravy and just ate her Apple pie. Best Thanksgiving dinner ever. I might do thing again this year.
~ Friends, new and old.
~ My animals and the joy and companionship they give me.
~ Agility!!
And, of course, one of these
I'm thankful I am getting the opportunity to raise one of these little guys.
I hope everyone has an enjoyable, kick-back day tomorrow.
