In Fashion News
LOL! Fashion news! I'm actually so out of the loop that I don't know from fashion trends. But I DO actually look at fashion magazines once in a while. And one I looked at yesterday had a feature that made me feel ... nostalgic, misty, all "gushy" inside actually! Even more so than seeing 80s "Valley Girl" fashions about a year ago. That was kind of cool, but in a way that made me think of my teen years. Not easy or pleasant years. Not years that I look back on fondly.
But this ... this was Goth! My 20s! Not easy or pleasant years (at least the first half), but MOST DEFINITELY ones I look back on fondly. That pain was more romantic, that torture more exquisite than anything in my teen years. Oh, goo!
But the magazine called the look "Indie." Huh? It looked like straight-up People In Black to me. I thought "Indie" was more People Who Look Like Beck. I mean, yeah, it's black, but it's like black trucker clothes with greasy hair, right? [SHRUGS]
