Time Warner Cable OnDemand has a "free movies" sections which offers some old school C-grade knockoffs and a wonderful selection of Turner Classic Movies. Today I watched Little Women with the all star cast of June Allyson, Peter Lawford, Elizabeth Taylor, and Margaret O'Brien. It's one of my favorite adaptions though the Wynona Ryder, Christian Bale, Claire Danes one follows a bit more closely to the book and no one can make you cry like Claire Danes.
Anyhow, now I'm watching The Miracle Worker and it's absolutely astounding. I'd forgotten how much I loved this movie and exactly why. I just got done with the section where Anne Sullivan teaches Helen to eat from her own plate and fold her napkin. Just the wrestling, the unblinding stubborness and tenacity of both of them and the over the top pure raw emotion from the mother make this movie the deserving blockbuster it is.
