The English language ALREADY HAS a word to describe the action of making a present of something to someone: the word is TO GIVE. The object of this verb is a GIFT. The word in new usage, "gifted," as in the past tense of "to gift" something (i.e., a bastard cousin of the beautiful "make a gift of") is SO ANNOYING.
It is not a real verb.
The real verb exists in English.
We even have a PHRASE if you don't like just saying "he GAVE it to me" and want to emphasize that it is a gift. (The sentence would go "He made a gift of ......." I'm not sure whether you'd add the "to [receipient].")
how to annoy me
