I heard from one of the WPB guys I used to live with...
If you were to look back here, you could read a long and rambling post about AS. Well, Skip, my old roommate in Florida called me this morning and told me all the gossip that has happened since I left. Skip has a place in Delray Beach, and still sees T2 once a week.
When I moved into the house, there were five guys living in the house (Me, Glen, Ray, Anthony and Mitch). A week after I moved into the house, Glen moved out, and Skip moved in. Anthony left for christmas and never came back, and Toothless Tom moved in. Then AS moved in about the time Toothless went to smoke crack. AS stole the shoes and left leaving me, Mitch, Skip and Ray. Mitch started not staying at the house, leaving me, Skip and Ray. So, in the long run here is what has happened to all of those people. I am still clean and sober. Glen is currently in a longterm rehab (that is for one year) where he is required to goto groups each day, and refurbish furnature. Ray is back in New Jersey, and he is now working as a Social Worker for a shelter in Harlem for troubled youths, he just celebrated a year. Anthony is in Prison in Penn for violation of his probation (he was serving a 15 year probation for manufacturing with intent to sell, guess what, he decided to manufacutre more and sell more). Mitch was Marchman Acted (basically he got so out of control with hookers and crack that his wife called the law and had him committed to a longterm program). Toothless is MIA, the last anyone knew, he was living under a bridge on West Forrest Hill Blvd in Wellington Florida (or at least that is where T1 found him one day -- you ever wonder if T1 has anything to do other than try to save people). AS aka Michael was court ordered to six months in Carp, the West Palm Beach County Correctional Rehab -- He decided that it would be a good idea to loan his car to a drug dealer who used it in the commission of a drive by shooting. AS is still not on board with a program. Maybe he will someday get it -- Oh ya, his dad sold the Jaguar to repay the amount of money AS stole from his uncle. Skip is also doing well, and he is now working on one of his biggest projects ever (he is a decorator, and has a really famous client that is paying him a lot of money to redecorate his mansion on Palm Beach Island).
I am one of the lucky ones, or am I one of the smart ones? Recovery only claims a 10% success rate, and I am in that 10%.
