what an amazing few days!!!

I think the heading from Jen's most recent LJ entry says it all..."WOW"! These past few days have been absolutely incredible. I'm just coming off of a ten-game SkyChiefs homestand, which was fun, but I'm glad it's over. The really good stuff started on Sunday night when I spent the night at Jen's house. I just *love* falling asleep with her :-). On Monday (yesterday), after getting up as late as possible, I worked the final game of the homestand. Mike, Nat, and my Jen came to the game, and it was a good game indeed! Chad Gaudin came OH-so-close to throwing a perfect game, only giving up one Columbus hit (a Ryan Hankins single to lead off the 9th inning) en route to a complete game, one-hit shutout of the Clippers. The SkyChiefs won 3-0, in a game that only took 106 minutes! After the game, I met up with my three-member fan club :-) and we went to pick up supplies for our little party we were going to have in Jen's backyard. Mike grilled some burgers and hot dogs for us. We also had some beer (except for Jen, who had her trusty White Russians to fall back on!). Then at 10:00, we went to Manhattan's to see Jen's beloved Candid perform. Once again, they were really good! Also, that douchy guy with the darts, Joe, was there. He was really pissed that Nat now has a boyfriend. Well, Nat deserves a great guy, and thanks to my left-handed right hand man Mike, she is getting the best there is! I'm really happy for you two!!! :-). Anyway, at about 1:00 AM, Mike, Nat, Jen and I went back to Jen's house. We all slept in that big-ass tent Jen has. It has separate "rooms", so each couple had some privacy ;-). Despite the cold overnight temperatures, it was actually really cozy. Once again, it was really nice to fall asleep with my Jen :-). Today (Tuesday) Mike, Jen and I went to breakfast at Denny's, visited Nat at work, walked around the mall, and then watched Pirates of the Caribbean. What an amazing few days!!!!!! And tomorrow, Mike and I begin our Grand Manan road trip! Woo-hoo!!!
