fuck VH1...this week, it was I who had the BEST WEEK EVER!!!
This past week has been one of the best, if not THE best, week of my life. Here's the condensed version:
MONDAY:
-going to Manhattan's bar in Syracuse with my Jen to see her beloved band Candid
-trying White Russians for the first time
-Candid playing the two songs I know word-for-word: "Iceberg" and "Nicotine"
-staying over at Jen's house (you amaze me every single day, sweetie...I can't imagine my life without you)
-"I give it a ten...a ten...a fuckin' TEN!"
TUESDAY:
-staying in bed with Jen until 2:00 PM
-errands in the big truck with Jen and her mom
-making fun of the idiot with all the scrap metal in the back of his truck
-going to Tully's with Jen, Mike, and Nat for "meh food and slightly above-average times" (actually, the food was good and we had some pretty kick-ass times)
-Jen demolishing me at air hockey AND her comeback victory at pool
-Po's Poop, round 2
-Mike and Nat's pretend fight in the parking lot
-Mike and me singing as loud as we can to 'tallica's 4/20/04 show from Uniondale, NY on the trip down to Ithaca
-late night run to Wings Over Ithaca with Mike, Cory, and James
-trying Stella Artois and Red Hook for the first time
-Jesse A.'s scary incident and subsequent trip to the hospital
WEDNESDAY:
-being awakened by Mike hitting me with a pillow
-the drive to Cooperstown, to the tune of Metallica live in Dublin 6/25/04 ("what you want? WHISKEYYYYYY!!!")
-"I have negative cows."
-Eating at the tiny Cooperstown Diner, and chatting with the old guy who used to be a minister in Maine
-Baseball Hall of Fame...one of the greatest places on Earth...especially now that it has Curt Schilling's bloody sock
-Mike threatening the Washington Nationals memorabilia in the HOF gift store
-endlessly looking at the minor league caps in Mickey's Place
-listening to Load on the way back to IC
-finally going over to Greg and Tyler's house
-getting a sandwich from Shortstop...mmmmmmmmm
-listening to Greg's senior Audio Workshop project
THURSDAY:
-making a Wegman's grocery run with Greg and Tyler, for old time's sake (and because they had NO food in their house, whatsoever)
-grilling food outside because it was such a nice evening
-watching VH1 Classic
-having our Hood Hall compadres Liam, Dan and Jnani come over and playing Halo 2 with us for three hours
-"I'm sorry, Jesus, but you were in my way!"
-the group pic I took before the Hood guys left, where Jnani isn't looking at the camera, and Greg is holding my scrapbook for some reason
-getting a really sweet text message from my Jen :-)
FRIDAY:
-getting a copy of Greg's new album
-hanging out with Greg and Tyler for the last time in a really long time
-listening to Greg's new album in the car on the way home
-having my recently-obtained lot of autographed baseball cards be waiting for me when I arrived home
-talking to my sweetie on the phone, knowing I get to see her tomorrow after the SkyChiefs game :-)
