A brief revelation and philosophy.

Well, I finally got contacts last week and they're pretty awesome. I can see so much better and it's nice to not wear glasses and also to be able to buy any type of sunglasses I like. I'm going to the eye doctor Tuesday to get my yearly supply. Right now I'm only using a pair I got for a weakly trial, but they say they last for a month. Whateva.

Thursday was the Giants Stadium field trip. Good stuff. I really didn't expect it to be as fun as it was. I didn't play the first part since the brass instructor said "anyone comfortable with playing high E flats above high C is eligible for the 1st part." So I played the second part which was mid-range. It was good though; you don't want to stress yourself out. I'd rather have a good time than shove the mouthpiece down my throat. At any rate ...

(the actual brief revelation)
That day I really started to appreciate some great people I've had in my life. All my friends, my teachers, and relatives are really awesome people. I wouldn't trade my life for anyone else's.

(the actual philosophy behind the revelation)
Learn to appreciate everything you have while you have it, because if for some reason you lose it, you'll regret taking it for granted. Never take anything for granted. Ever.

To all my friends, family, teachers, and anyone I know whose reading this - you rock. And I'll try not to take you for granted.

-Steve
