America...why not?

So, there's a few people who're interested in leaving America and moving to Europe because it's "so much better there." Well, lets look at things this way. In Europe, there's no such thing as the freedom of the press. So your railing about the Washington Times toting the government line would only increase, as anything that goes to press in Europe ( Read more... )

Umm steve, the taxes aren't 5 dollars a gallon for gas. you know why it's that high? cause they don't want cars on the road that much-they have awesome public transportation so why do they need to hurt the environment and waste gas for people who don't really need it anyway-that's why it's 5 dollars a gallon.
And I'm guessing this is coming from the chorus people back from germany. Let them have their fun in saying that they want to live there. They've been to a beautiful place and really enjoyed it there. I doubt any of them would actually move there for good...they just are talkigna bout their trip.
And oh yea, you would like it in Europe because I know that especially in Germany-they have very strict immigration laws...and I seem to remember an article you wrote about how much you hate tons of immigration.
So really, don't knock all of europe just because you are a big american patriot...
because remember-some of the european countries are some of the biggest allies in this stupid war we're fighting-so I don't suggest you diss them.
And by the way-I don't hate america, so don't even assume that

Maybe if you'd read my editorial about immigration and not listened to what your little friends told you it was about, you'd realize that my article was against illegal immigration, not immigration in general. And as far as the gas tax goes, sorry, I misread the source. The price of a gallon ranges from 5-6 dollars, which is still a LOT more than we spend. Tim, this is in response to Susan and Katie's urges to run away. Don't knock me because I'm a patriot, Kelsey, show me the shame in it. I'm not saying Europe is shit and should go away, I'm well aware of the fact that we have allies there. The fact that they're our allies doesn't mean that they're not misguided in their governmental policies.
