Anniversary

Jul 08, 2005 01:26

I just renewed my paid Live Journal account. Has it been a year already? Had I not paid, it just would have reverted to a free account and that's all I really need, but I just have this thing about paying my way, since I have the means to do so. I certainly don't expect everyone to do this, but I am at a point in my life where I think that is the ( Read more... )

Happy anniversary, Steve! I feel the same way about my online and IRL circles of friends. I'm honored to be a part of yours. :)

That's nice of you to say, Becca. I'm always interested on your take on things. If I remember right, I have reading Sarah's Friends list to thank for meeting you.

I'm glad you didn't leave. Even though our interaction is limited, I enjoy hearing about your life, you're an interesting guy.

Thanks Lori. I enjoy the little glimpses of Nova Scotia I get from reading your journal. Sad to say my travels in Canada have been limited to Ontario. Not that there is anything wrong with Ontario, but I know there is a lot more to Canada.

And I'm really going to have to track The Trailer Park Boys down on DVD or something. Something tells me I'd like that show.

They aired the first season of TPB this year on BBC America. Not sure if you have to have digital or something to get that channel. But, otherwise, the first 4 seasons are available to purchase through www.amazon.ca . And, they're filming a TPB movie this year which will be released next summer. Oh yes, they are invading!!! ;) I didn't like it at first, but the character of Bubbles drew me in, and it really grows on you from there!

I'm glad you didn't leave. :O I'd certainly miss you. I stay on lj because it's my only way of keeping up and staying in touch with a lot of people. I too browse random journals and communities. I also read everyone and their mother's friends page and refresh my own obsessively. Makes me wonder if I should add more friends so I'll have something more to read, but instead I should probably restrict my time online more. :) I guess it's only self-discipline that can cure our internet addiction.

It's nice to hear you'd miss me Caitlin. Maybe now would be a good time to gently scold you for not updating more. Sorry, but I'm always interested in hearing what you're doing or thinking about.

I've found some interesting journals while browsing around but I always lose track of them. Maybe its best that way. Sort of an LJ one night stand.

And unfortunately, self-discipline seems to be something I'm in short supply of.

I'm glad you're still here, Steve. You're a good friend and you make me laugh. I've lost touch with too many friends as it is.

Happy Anniversary! =b

I'm glad I make you laugh. That's not something I hear everyday.

It is all to easy to lose touch with people and that is something I'm working on. I know that I would feel sad to lose touch with you.

And what's that flower in your icon and did you take the picture?

I'm not sure what kind of flower it is. Alex took the picture.

Happy Anniversary. I may have to get a paid account. I'm having fun with my new digital camera and may have to start posting my pics.

I do the same thing as Caitlin. I see someone's friend and click on their journal and end up going all over the place. Sometimes it's very interesting. :)

Off topic Steve, I found out that there are 2 Sears houses near me. They are on the same street. I found out by going out to dinner with some friends I made at the place I workout. The owners were both there.

One of the advantages of a paid account is having many more user icons than the three allowed for free accounts. How many icons do I have? Three.

But yeah, it would be cool to see some of your pictures. Don't forget to throw in a few of yourself.

I'm off work today and trying to do some long neglected jobs around my old Sear's house. It never ends. Although, I don't know why I'd expect it would. :)
