Rummaging around Digg today, I saw that a third party has essentially given the
360 and PS3 the same capabilities as the Wii via a peripheral. Considering that some game pundits were essentially saying that the Wii was a Gamecube peripheral and nothing more, this isn't too surprising. Interesting, though. I'm curious how it will play out.
As the author says, Nintendo's strategy stresses the controller enough that it will be implemented almost universally, and people looking for the same experiences from Sony and Microsoft would have to have the peripheral, splintering the market to some extent. Why did we not hear anything about this during the show? Are the wacky little peripherals not worth a newspost or two on the major websites? Or is this article just full of it?
