Now I feel like a real bartender.....
So, I've always heard these stories about bartenders getting tipped with odd things, like hotel keys, coke, etc...
Well, until tonight, I'd only gotten money, not that I'm complaining.
Picture it, a laid back Sunday at the bar. There wasn't a whole lot of people, but it wasn't dead either. I was doing my usual, but there were two guys who were sitting at the bar, and I was being extra nice to them because they were good tippers. After a while, they asked my name, we chit-chatted. I was bullshitting around trying to make some extra money. They started tipping better, and eventually they started just giving me money even when I wasn't getting them drinks. These guys were 40, but they didn't look their age at all. They kept asking about after-hours clubs and stuff like that. I told them the only option really was Eat'n'Park, but they didn't wanna drive because they were drunk. Long story short, I ended up with about $40 of their money, and they invited me to their hotel room after I got off work. Naturally, I didn't go because I'm seeing someone, but if I wasn't...yeah, I'd have probably went.
I felt bad because I felt like they paid for it, but I'd have felt even worse knwing they actually got what they were trying to pay for.
