Facebook users:  I'm not joining.  Despite the obvious advantages joining the facebook community, here at Trent and Peterborough, Facebook has become the medium for the most immature and hostile rumor-mongering.  Gossip of the most insaneley petty, racist and sexist kinds flourish as assholes fight with flamers who fight with good people curious about the site.  I understand that it is a great way for people from your past to get in touch with you, but there are lots of people from my elementary and high school years that I DON'T want to talk to, even if they want to talk to me (which they seem to, if hi5 was any indication).  Facebook is probably the next practical phase of myspace, and I also did not sign up for that.

so stop inviting me, however honest, or half-hearted your intentions are.
