Steve-o’s Halls of Fame

Nov 06, 2009 10:52

This morning there is a herd of people lined up outside the Hockey Hall of Fame … I think today is induction day. Also this morning, I was reading that the ball was inducted into the Toy Hall of Fame (yes, ball. Any kind).

That got me thinking about all of the various halls of fame that are out there … so many that the good ones should be recognized with their own Hall of Fame.

So here we go:
Steve’s Hall of Halls of Fame
Recognizing the best hall of fame locations around.

Here’s the first inductees:
Circus Hall Of Fame (Indiana - 1892) …because it’s an idea so crazy, it’s good.
Strong National Museum of Play (Rochester - 1969) … a museum that has a lot of balls (and inducts them)
International Polka Hall of Fame (Chicago -1969) … Weird Al would be proud, and so am I
Greater Cleveland Softball Museum & Hall of Fame (Euclid - 1985) … because it’s upstairs from a different Polka Hall of Fame; weird AND handy.

… if they want their plaques, I’ll send them out.
