There's Nothing to Eat Around Here
When I lived at home, this line was usually uttered by my brother when there wasn't any hot dogs in the fridge, and he couldn't make a peanut butter sandwich. The line was also uttered by me when there wasn't anything that could be made quickly and easily in the microwave or stove top. Then my father would usually walk in and make grilled cheese or something that I just hadn't put the ingredients together in my head for. Long story short, saying "There isn't anything to eat around here" usually meant that we weren't looking hard enough, or weren't willing to work for it.
The same rule applies more or less in my kitchen here. Tonight I walked into the kitchen because I was hungry. There wasn't anything to eat. And by that I mean that I'm now cooking rice and dumplings (technically wontons according to the package). This is the food that's been sitting in the back of the cabinent/freezer for a while because I haven't felt like eating it, or it takes too long to make, or some other excuse.

So eating and such is done now, dishes will wait for later. A teflon coated inside to a rice cooker is a genius idea.
Not much else worth writing today, other than devouring the comic Johnny Wander (which is awesome).
Oh, and I wish that I could kick students out for apathy, or being dumb. Whichever it is. But when you won't ask for help after I have said for the past three weeks that you should ask I have little sympathy. And when the words you didn't know are essential to answering the question you were supposed to answer, it all amounts to fifteen wasted minutes. Five on the time you were supposed to be working, and ten on me trying to explain in front of the class what you wouldn't ask earlier, and then telling the class they should have been asking questions.
Asking questions does not make you look stupid. Not asking questions does, because it makes you look like an idiot.
Well, that's enough for now. I ought to sleep. Got class in about twelve hours.
