Nothing usually happened to her while she was walking to the flower shop; maybe that was why those hands Sakura suddenly felt on her waist surprised her so much.
"You've been coming here often, don't you?"
Sakura turned around and saw a blue-haired girl with red eyes standing behind her. She often saw that girl at the flower shop, flirting with Omi. "Um, I'm sorry, I don't remember your name," Sakura said, gently removing the girl's hands from her waist.
The blue-haired girl smiled brightly. "I'm Sakaki Ouka," she introduced herself. "What's your name?"
"Tomoe Sakura," Sakura replied, feeling slightly intimidated by Ouka's enthusiasm. "Pleased to meet you."
Ouka clapped her hands together. "Oh, you're that girl that had her kidney stolen! I heard one of Omi's friends saved you from a bunch of reporters."
Sakura blushed. "I guess news travels fast. It was Aya-san, the one with the red hair."
"Him?" Ouka said, raising an eyebrow. "He never seems to do much besides complain about how the customers are crowding the store."
"Aya-san's very nice!"
"Oh, he's the one you like? Well, that's good for me." Ouka cupped Sakura's chin and leaned in close. "Besides, you do kind of look like Omi. If you two started going out, it'd look almost incestuous."
Sakura's face became redder. "Cut that out!" she said, pushing Ouka's hand away. "I don't have a crush on any of them!"
Ouka chuckled. "Don't worry, my intentions are pure! Hey, when's your birthday? Mine's September fifth."
"My birthday's May twenty-fourth."
"That's two days from now! My mom owns a restaurant, and if I tell her that your birthday's coming up, she'll make a really yummy cake for you! It'll be like a date!"
"B-But we're both girls."
"Then it'll be a girls' day out, with no pesky boys allowed! C'mon, Sakura!" Ouka took Sakura's hand and then began walking forward, with Sakura half following, half being dragged.
"Hey, Ouka-chan," Sakura said.
"Hmm?" Ouka replied, slightly turning her head.
"Since it's a nice day outside, let's have a picnic."
"Sure! As long as my mom still gets to make you something!"
Sakura smiled; she had wanted to see Aya today and tell him that she had won first place in the track meet last week, but she figured that spending the day with Ouka would be more fun. Aya could wait.
