All right, so my TV list for this year is gonna look like this:

Half hour "comedies"
Nurse Jackie
30 Rock
Big Bang Theory
Parks & Recreation
Modern Family
The Middle (mostly my parents show but it's on right before Modern so I imagine I'll keep watching unless it starts annoying me)

Hour long "dramas"
Damages
The Good Wife
The Mentalist
Flashpoint (I need ( Read more... )

Hawaii Five-O, I'm all about it. I also think I might get into Memphis Beat and Detroit 187. This is gonna be the era of the cop show for me. Kinda a renaissance to my teenage days when all I watched was police procedurals. And I will watch Criminal Minds as long as Paget is on there, as long as it doesnt blow too hard.

Damn, I'ma miss Law and Order.....I was just getting back into it. I need Linus Roache on my TV weekly.

Ann Rule blows so hard but I've read a few of her books, The Stranger Beside Me was the first book I ever read on Bundy, when I was 12. Knowing him gave her street cred. She quickly lost it for me. I saw her do a talk once though and she is a very engaging individual, which is why all these people tell her their business.

When have you ever *not* been all about the police procedural?! ;)

Yeah, I've heard that some of her books are good, I think I may have even read one once that was pretty decent. I think it's mandatory for movies-of-the-week to suck though, isn't it? No matter how good the actors or the story may be, the movie-of-the-week would be terrible. To Kill A Mockingbird would've sucked with the movie-of-the-week people at the helm. ;)

Hoping you're having a good vaca, and it sounds like you are!! :D

Yeah, I know, but some of them dont turn out to be very good. This one looks good.

I think you're right about movies of the week. They've always been bad and yet we've always watched them....and complained about them being bad. When I was a kid Jaclyn Smith starred in all of them.

My vacation is a blast!!!!

My Fall/Winter TV viewing will pale in comparison to my Summer viewing, I think. I had Psyche, Leverage, R&I, The Closer, Lie To Me.

For Fall, 30 Rock, L&O:LA (yes, I'm Law and Order's bitch), Lie To Me, and .... yeah, that's about it. *sigh* Well, and Football. Lots and lots of football.

Glaringly absent is L&O:SVU. Though, knowing me, I'l; find myself watching it while stabbing my eyes out because I can't stand it. SVU, I wish I knew how to quit you.

Haha, if only everytime I heard LOLA I didn't start singing the Kinks, maybe I could tune in. ;) I might try it out, I dunno. I'm just excited that there's like, actual new tv shows with SCRIPTS this year instead of just let's-put-people-in-a-house-on-a-fake-island-and-make-them-dance-with-celebrities-while-they-eat-tarantulas-and-marry-their-cousin-and-swap-their-kids!

You should try out Mr. Sunshine when it starts! Allison Janney! Matthew Perry! What could possibly go wrong?! (I know the answer is "everything", but I'm trying to be hopeful, okay?)

;) Oh, SVU. SVU, SVU, SVU. I don't even like to think about what I've lost now that that show has become the most patently ridiculous thing on television. :/
