I apologize in advance for this entry, because I have not written in a really long time, and I am going to write this one in like ten minutes, while I wait to get off of work. This does not even begin to describe all that has been happening since I last wrote, but I thought I would leave you all with some sort of an update. In case you did not already know, I switched majors. I went from Interior Design to Art Education. It was a very hard decision for me, but I felt like changing direction as far as my education goes.
I am finally 20 now! Oh my goodness! I am old. JK! On my birthday I was summoned to jury duty and I was selected to be on the jury for two days. It was an interesting experience, but not dreadful. Since I was gone all day on my birthday, in downtown Phoenix, I did not do anything special. After Jury duty though, I had dinner with Katherine and Kayliegh and it was a lot of fun. I did not get home until about 11:00 pm because we had so much fun talking. I was also surprised with a bunch of cards in the mail from my friends in OK. It was really encouraging!
For Halloween, I went to two parties. One at Holly and Jen's apartment and one at Nick, Patrick, Adam and Daniel's condo. I saw some really cool costumes, and I definitely think I should come up with a more creative costume for next year. I was planning on having my sister hang out with me in the afternoon, but I ended up hanging with Michael and Matt (the RA) at the front desk and Matt taught me some new guitar stuff!
Yesterday I saw the sunrise with Jason and Angela, and it was fun as always. After our hike up the mountain, I got to hike around the mountain for my Geology lab. I actually think that the back of A mountain is much more exciting than the front, yet I always hike up the front.
Last night I went to dinner with the volunteers for Caring for Internationals. I had Lamb's tongue! It wasn't too bad actually. Everyone laughed at me for ordering it. I really wanted to try some of thier tastey looking baklava, but I had to cut dinner short to go to Derek's house for our CC leadership meeting. After a great night of learning and discussion at leadership, I hung out with my IV freinds and go to long board (which I have not done in a while). Ed offered to let me borrow his old long board and Colin offered to sell me his, so that is cool. I might actually get a long board someday!
Another thing that I have really enjoyed going to since I last updated is the Alpha Course on Sun. nights. I love hanging out with the ten regulars that come each week. I get to eat delicious free food, learn awesome things about God, and talk with really spiritually smart people. I always leave there encouraged!
I am so excited about next week. Holly and I are going on a road trip to OK!!! I can't wait to see everyone again. I leave on Wed. evening and will probably get back on early Mon. On Thurs. we are going to check out the BSU vespers, on Fri. we are having a girls' PI reunion, on Sat. we are planning on going to the OK vs. TX A&M game, and Sun. we will go to church with our friends. We are going to be staying at the Duplexes we stayed in on the way to Chicago with Rita and her roommates. This is the first road trip I have been on with just one other person. Fifteen hours with Holly one way. We are going to get to know each other really well. LOL!
