Title: Constant
Pairing: JungLi
A/N: A short drabble I created in 30 minutes so I apologize if it's not that good. Just something that suddenly popped up in my mind. :) Enjoy.
Change is something that's inevitable in life.
Krystal learned it through being a celebrity. Everything changes. She changes, her style changes, her status changes. It was something that can't be helped in life and Krystal knows it. Each passing day, things seem to change more and more and honestly, she hates it. She hates change.
She hates how her once long, black and beautiful flowing hair has been changed to a style with blonde tips and uneven cutting. She hates how her once simple shorts and shirt style has been changed to outfits more 'fitting' to her image. She hates how her once school friends who she jokes around with now treats her as if she's some almighty creature. She hates how her once perfect grades are dropping slowly because she can't study more.
Everything's changing and Krystal can't help but to think that she can't do anything about it. She can't do anything to stop the changes from occurring and she hates it. Hates the fact that all she can do is sit around prettily and silently adjust to the changes. Krystal thinks that nothing's constant anymore.
But actually, there is.
Sulli.
Sulli has been the only constant thing in her life. Sulli has always been there until now.
She was there when Krystal shut everyone out. She was there when Krystal cried her eyes out during tiring training days. She was there to protect Krystal when people attacked her for being Jessica's little sister. She was there when Krystal was told about their debut and was there when they did. She was there when Krystal felt useless for being known as the little sister of Jessica Jung. She was there when Krystal went home at 3:00 am, waiting for the American girl with a cup of hot drink and some delicious looking food.
She was there. All the while, she was there.
Krystal smiles as she threads their fingers together, giving Sulli's hand a soft squeeze. "Ssul..." She whispers as she buries her face on the crook of the older girl's neck.
"What is it, Jjung?"
Krystal smiles fondly at the innocent expression on the other girl's face. That is constant too. It never left even as they grew old from kids to teenagers. "I love you."
Sulli smiles at her and Krystal almost swooned at the sight but kept her composure. "I love you too, Jjung."
"You're my constant." She whispers, enjoying the feel of Sulli's fingers threading through her uneven locks of hair.
The fingers stopped moving. "What?"
"You. You are my constant, Jinri." Krystal repeats patiently.
Sulli pouts and her eyes fills with confusion. "I don't think I follow you." She says with mild sadness.
"It's alright," Krystal smiles, moving closer to Sulli. "I'm just saying."
"Alright." Sulli whispers soon after. She was used to Krystal spitting out random and confusing things every now and then anyway.
It's okay, Krystal thinks. It doesn't matter. Because Sulli always follows her. She's always following Krystal, ready to help anytime. Ready to catch her anytime she makes a bad fall. It's something that's also constant.
And Krystal doesn't care if everything around them change.
They are constant. That's all that matters.
Sulli was there and has always been there and is still there. She never left. She never changed. She is a constant in Krystal's life.
