I have to go to Dell today for orientation at 5:30pm. I think it will be fun. I am glad that I found a job really quick thanks to Matt C. I have had a pretty good week beside being sick all week. I have a terrible cough and stuffy head. I think I might be getting over it. I still coughed my head off last night though. It is only when I lie ( Read more... )

There ARE people who are getting out of hand and/or on their way to getting out of hand, and it even worries ME. . . of all people. And you're saying you should try to confront them and help them out, but that's easier said than done. First, you have to figure out HOW to approach them. That's hard in itsself, because if you go about it the wrong way, you could be adding to the problem rather than helping it. Then, if you figure out how to approach the issue, chances are the person is NOT going to listen. There's one rule I live by when it comes to drugs. "It is ONE thing to get laced at a party, but it is QUITE another to sit around baked all day!" Same goes for whatever drug. It is ONE thing to have your fun on the weekend or when you're at the club or what have you, but it is QUITE another to run around tweaked all week ( ... )

I totally agree with Sara, I think drug abuse comes in many different forms. These are called recreational drugs for a reason. I think doing it on the weekend is totally cool and respectable. When you get fried in the middle of the week, cuz you had nothing better to do than just spend $60 on some crack, then you have a problem. Sara has lived through this way before any of the ones so damned twacked out of their minds can realize. She's had conversations with these people, do they listen, nope! And why not listen to Sara, she should be a mentor. Because they need some life-altering event to happen before they realize how this truly affects their lives. ANYWHOO.....thats my rant. love you all *kiss*

Definately, it is a task to figure out how to approach somoene. I dont know if you knew this or not but 1998-1999 me and Stepehen had a really close friend abusing coke and we tried to help him, we went aboit it in so many different ways, even got the family involved. Finally, that was a realization for him, well, that and right after he OD'd and was rushed to the ER and almost died. They pumped so much charcoal into his body to neutrilize the drugs and that right there was enough for him. So, yeah, it is all in how you chose to aproach someone.

I know I have approached 4 of my friends in the last 2 months and I have had to do it 4 different ways, otherwise they would not still be my friend today.

Right I agree, all you can do is let people know that you care and that you wished that they would do differently. It is all in there hands no matter what you do, but I learned my lesson about shutting someone out of my life cause they did drugs. I would not be able to forgive myself if I would have lost our friend. I will still be there for anyone reguardless if the have a drinking problem, smoking problem, any kind of drug problem whether they realize it or not. When you are my friend I will do my best to look past your vices and focus on why I like hanging around you and why I enjoy your company. I don't care if you are straight, fuck dogs, eat shit or have blue hair. Don't think we won't be talking about it though cause I am gonna need to know what is going on up in your head, but if I like hanging out with you and have a blast around you then that is what matters to me and hopefully you will work out what you need to work out in your life so that you are happy. Everyone that has done the drugs has been confronted already ( ... )

Ive read through the entry and all the comments. I agree with everyone really. Stephen, in our lil conversation in my jounral entry..dont get the wrond idea. I wasnt bashing anyone. Shit I've even helped in a not so direct way to some of these people. I'm not bashing anyone for anything they do, I just worry is all. I do the recreational smoking, but I've never done anything more than that. I personally dont see anything wrong with it, unless its taking your life, or pocketbook. I love everyone, and would never close anyone out. You know better than that from me. I love you boy. i want to go tumbling

I will call you next time I go tumbling, me and Matt are going today. I will ask if he minds anyone coming cause Matt likes to learn kind of privately. Some people do better training when no one is watching them. I don't think he will mind but I have heard him voice this once before about people watching. hehe. Gymnastics is all a mind thing. If your mind isn't in the right place you could land on your head. :-) I don't mind just going one on one at any time.
