[Part of Nagi had already made the decision. Speaking with Olivier only sealed the deal. He knows he has nothing to fight for anymore, not since he woke up in this place. He has no hope; no reason to live; no reason to fight ( Read more... )

That much is obvious.

But what specifically do you plan to do? You're not the only one with experience.

Major General Armstrong is taking the lead right now. For now, I and anyone who wishes to join me will hang back and see what becomes of her efforts. I'm considering holding a meeting in the meantime... might be a good idea to get to know one another. [He's not going to make the same mistake twice. He won't give anyone the opportunity to become another Rokuro.]

Hmm.

Typical. A woman is already running the show, but of course we couldn't get by without listening to a big strong man who is too new to know what he's doing.

I'm... sorry? That isn't really what I was trying to say. "Big and strong"?

I know what you were trying to say.

What ever would we have done without your big speech? Why, we would have been just lost.

I'm sorry, are you... implying that I'm some kind of male chauvinist? [He's more befuddled than indignant. Of all the responses he expected, this wasn't one of them.]

I wouldn't know one way or the other.

I'm implying that it's a little presumptuous to declare war on Mayfield and to recruit yourself an army when you've only just arrived, don't you think?

I could make a pretty speech, too, but the truth is, I'm not as fit to lead as those who already know what the fight entails.

Is it better to simply lie back and do nothing? I understand that the Major General has more experience than myself, but we have both agreed that a second resistance group would be more useful than simply adding numbers to her ranks.

Or perhaps you missed that part in my pretty speech?
