The "Surge" and ethnic cleansing in Iraq
For months McCain and bush and the Republicans have been trumpeting "the surge has worked". http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080919/sc_nm/iraq_lights_dc_2 Here is some evidence that, at best, the "Surge" was no more than one in a number of factors, with the strongest reason for the decline of violence in Iraq attributed to many Sunni neighborhoods being literally emptied out, as documented by satellite imaging. This might be useful information for the next Presidential Debate on foreign policy, as McCain is certain to make his tired same old argument.
