I have decided to craft a new D&D campaign setting. Just this urge I get from time to time. It happens.
When I told my roommates about it, they added a great deal of their own input. They are awesome people.
In a nutshell, the Great Maw is an isolated archipelago surrounded by an isolated sea sitting high in an isolated mountain range. Sense a theme here?
There are several new races, which feature more prominently than the core D&D races in the politics of the area. There is an ooze people, a race of warlike burrowing insect-people, a peace-loving volcano people, and a race of humanoids that just woke up from a 10,000-year slumber. Among others.
I'm having a lot of fun with it. I'm hoping this'll turn into a setting that gets used in games, instead of another thought exercise that ends up sitting half-done in my RPGs folder.
