(no subject)
I got the best gifts EVER this year for my birthday!! The gifts definitely show that my loved ones know me so well! ♥
My honey got me a bbq grill!! SQUEEE!!! I've wanted one for so long and I'm sorry to say that ever since the sun shone for the first time this year I've been harassing Jeromi about getting a grill haha. It's a wee little thing and I love it! It's a charcoal using table top and though it is small it fits 5 burger patties! That's all we need in life ;)
My in-laws gave me a gift card to Joanne's Fabrics. I spent half of it already on plastic canvas stuff lol. I was wondering what else to use it on and I think I finally figured it out... One of my favorite websites to spend some time on is Etsy. It's a wonderful little website where people can make craft stuff like jewelry, clothes, stationary, etc and sell it. I love browsing through the site because it never fails to get my creative juices flowing! Thanks to this site, I want to start painting again and now I have the funds to buy the canvases, brushes, and paint that I would need!
Maybe later this week or next I'll go through all of my old drawings and pictures and see if I should redo some of them or give them color or get some new ideas.
I got to hear from my dad yesterday. It's always so nice to hear from him. I miss him so much and wish we lived closer to one another but that isn't a possibility when he's close by my baby sister. She needs our dad more than I do and I understand that. At least he'll be here for a week in October!! So looking forward to that :)
Like every birthday, however, yesterday did have it's cruddy moments. I didn't hear from my mom. Big shocker. And our room mate didn't say anything to me either. In fact, one of her friends sent me a "lovely" little note on FB this morning! Making a long story short, it basically says shame on me for ruining her life, shame on me for being a horrible friend, how dare I call myself a Christian when I treat her this way, blah blah blah. The best part about all of this? The dude is gay. Seriously? You're gonna seriously judge me and my level of faith when you don't even believe in Christ nor follow his Word? At least it gave me quite the LOL :) Made Jeromi madder than a squished hornet's nest, but I'm glad I can at least laugh it off. For now that is. I replied with what I thought was a well said message but it's been my experience that once someone like him gets his mind set on something and feels justified in it, nothing short of a miracle will change his mind.

Gah! I really, really want to paint now! I'll do the next best thing and go to bed :)
