You remember how I said that I feel like I'm always either on or planning a vacation? Well...
Sister and me are going on a short trip to Berlin on Thursday. It was supposed to be till Sunday, but in a stroke of genius, during the whole booking of trains and accomodation and stuff, both of us forgot that we had tickets for Ed Sheeran on Saturday evening, so we had to cut the trip short and leave again on Saturday morning. We're going to see The Band, a musical with songs from Take That - thankfully, we had booked that for Thursday evening.
Also, in a fit of "Torschlusspanik"* I thought I should visit Vancouver at least once as long as Supernatural is still filming there. And since Vancon (Creation's Supernatural convention in Vancouver) is in August, I built two weeks of vacation around it. I booked my flight and I bought my ticket for the convention, but am still in the process of planning accomodation. Because holy heck, but Vancouver is expensive. At least the central, downtown parts. There is one hostel that is fairly cheap, but it's above a bar and half the reviews on the internet mention how it's rather loud. And I can deal with a lot when it's cheap, but not constant loud music from downstairs for a week. I did book one night there, anyway, because I found out that a scene in season 1 was shot in that very bar and on the street outside. :D
I also found a couple of other people to share a room at the con hotel with for the duration of the convention, which at least brought the price down to a tolarable level.
For the rest of the time I'm still trying to decide whether I want to pay more for a hostel downtown or less for an Airbnb further away with at least an hour's commute.
* literally: panic of a gate closing;
figuratively: fear of missing something essential or worrying that once you get around to doing something, it's too late
Heh, Jim Michaels, producer of Supernatural, asked on Twitter which character from Supernatural people wanted to see again in season 15. Most given answer: Sam and Dean. I wholeheartedly agree. Maybe I'd even start watching regularly for them instead of cramming in the last 9 episodes in the week before JIB in May.
