I've always wanted a fandom tattoo since that is such a huge part of my life. For a long time I didn't really know what, though. Then I got an idea but never acted on it. On Friday I finally took the time to search some images on the internet and puzzle together an ouline since 1) I had a rough idea of what I want, but couldn't really imagine the whole thing and whether I'd even like it, and 2) I wasn't sure whether I'd manage to explain that rough idea to a tattoo artist. I posted the result on Instagram here; it came out better than I'd thought.

A few years ago I asked a former coworker about his tattoos and he recommended a studio. While checking out their Facbook site I noticed that my cousin had "liked" that page, so I asked her as well and she said she got all her tattoos and piercings done there and is very happy with them. Long story short, I went to the studio on Saturday, brought the outline, and now I have an appointment for next week's Tuesday! I'm actually getting two tattoos done at once - since Supernatural is by far the fandom I've been a part of the longest, I thought it's only fair if the Men of Letters symbol (which I'm a huge fan of) gets a second, larger spot on my body, as well.

For some reason, on Sunday I got the urge to watch Ten Inch Hero. Putting it in, I noticed that my "copy" is a badly distorted version that doesn't even play right in my DVD player, so I ordered the real DVD on Amazon (bad me). And yes, it's a cute movie, but I find the gushing German reviews about how wonderful it is and what a true masterpiece just sliiightly exagerrated.
I ended up watching a couple of scenes on the computer, where it works. I'd forgotten that Danneel is fully naked in it - and apparently she has a tattoo on her ass (or her role does).
