Holy shit, how did this season get almost over so fast? I'm also getting the feeling that I'll spend the whole hiatus re-watching the happy times of seasons past.
Oh boys... So, Dean is sacrificing himself so Sam won't have to, and Sam is sacrificing himself so Dean won't have to. Just another normal day in the house of the brothers Winchester. Like that's ever done them any good! Poor guys are so messed up and on top of that, everybody's jerking them around. Go back to Sam and Dean against the world, guys.
Also, I'm getting a really uncomfortable thought here. See, I've always thought that Sam would have something to do with breaking the last seal, and that in fact Ruby is working together with Lilith to lure Sam where Lilith and Ruby want to have him, both location-wise and emotion-wise. So far I haven't seen anything that leads me to think the opposite!
Except I also can't get Castiel's choice of words out of my head when he told Dean about his destiny. He said that Dean was the only one able to "finish it" (meaning the whole seal-breaking/apocalypse business). Not "end it". That's what everybody implies, Castiel himself included, but that's not what he said.
I'm pretty sure though that these issues will be addressed in the next (and last! huh.) episode.
