(no subject)
Is it just me or has this show just gotten even more slashy? Sam putting a leash on Dean? Ruby and the other demon girl nearly making out?
The whole episode for me felt kinda bleh. It was good, and there were things that I liked, but overall it left me rather thinking, "that's all?" Again very much info in a relatively short time, and no questions were really answered. Ruby sure talks a lot, especially at the end, but I still believe only half of what she says, and I don't know which half that is. I think there's more to her than a friendly, Angel-like human in demon form. Her arrogant behavior just doesn't fit that angle.
There were some great brothers moments, though, and a lot of touching. I approve. And how heartbreaking is it all? So I guess there's no going back to Stanford for Sam, huh? I mean, we already knew that, but has he ever actually said before that he'd uphold the family business after Dean's dead? And he accepts that Dean's "leaving" now, and thinks that the world is a craphole without Dean. Oh, Sam.
I guess the reason why I haven't broken into tears yet is that logically, I know they can't have Dean die. On any other show they could, but not on this one. There is not much of a show without Dean. And thankfully both Jared and Jensen seem to enjoy working on the show so much, and working together, that I think they'd put their foot (feet?) down if Dean was permanently killed. Also, the creators would be stupid to throw away that amazing chemistry.
I keep waiting for Sam to use his powers already. In fact I was pretty sure he would when witch-demon pinned him (and then Dean) against the wall. I firmly believe he still has them. I mean, he must have, if he's a competition to the "new leader rising in the west", right? He's not a simple human, or even a simple hunter.
Some (very few) random things that I'd like to note but that don't need to be elaborated:

- Sam's face when he says, "Let. My brother. Go." Mmm... Also, Sam washing his face and running his fingers through his hair. Mmm...
- The "Conquistador Motel". I love that.
- Ruby still fails to impress me.
- Oh, Dean.
