Dear Secret Santa,
I've done three of these in the past years, so you're getting the best of. :) My preferences haven't really changed. Hm, except that I didn't ask for sex this year.
First of all, I love both pairings, so no pressure there. Write whatever suits you best, or make it a threesome if you want.
Okay, I found something that did change: I'd say by now AUs have overtaken the non-AUs just slightly on my favorites list, but really, I like both. In AUs, I like any setting and any time frame, middle-age to science fiction, except maybe high school AUs, since I think there are quite enough of them already. For the non-AUs I don't like Europe-era so much anymore, I guess it's because it's such a long time ago by now, or maybe it's just that I'm getting older and they were all so young back then. :) I like love stories, where people fall in love, people express their love (hence the cuddling), tell each other their love, overcome problems to stay in love. I like sex in a story, but lately it hasn't been that important to me anymore.
Of course you're in no way required to use all that info. I'm easy to please, as long as you stick to the happy ending, I'll be happy. Angst is fine, break them all you want (if you want), but please fix them before the end.
