I don't even know why we bother wrapping them, except that of course the unwrapping is part of the fun and it would just not be the same.

I dunno, I think it's because we (= me and my sister) aren't home until the very few days before Christmas to throw our things together and sometimes even still buy something the day before. But it's cool, and even our parents do it occasionally.
