I'd heard this rumor when it first broke a little while ago, and Neil Gaiman linked to this article in his journal tonight, reminding me of how much I really, really want this to happen.
Who Favourite Talks Time Lords: Actor Paterson Joseph, who has been hotly tipped to replace David Tennant in Doctor Who, has suggested he would relish the role. If you're not familiar with Paterson Joseph, he's a British actor who has worked extensively on that side of the Atlantic, in theatre as well as in television and film, and he's probably best known here as the Marquis de Carabas in the BBC miniseries of Gaiman's Neverwhere.

Speaking in a broader sense, after forty years and ten previous Doctors, I also think that it would be great to see an actor of color as the Doctor.
And on a shallow note,
he's really hot. Click to view
