On the evils of MATLAB

MATLAB is wonderful software, for some things. However, when one has to do a number of calculations in sequence, it's memory-hogging nature (combined with my poor computer's 867 MHz processor) means that I can set a program running and come back literally an hour later for the results. Grr

Luxury! I send a job to the compute pool, asking for 12 machines. It tells me to come back tomorrow morning. :p
